What we look for in our team members
If you have some or all of the following skills and attributes, we want to hear from you!
able to give out smiles to everyone and distribute hugs wherever needed
an overactive imagination that can turn cardboard boxes into pirate ships, fairy castles, robot trains, etc.
counting really fast – specifically counting the heads of many small moving humans!
willingness to join in and perform songs in front of a crowd, irrespective of whether you can remember the words/tune
can pretend to eat and enjoy food that is made of play dough, in a realistic manner
able to read a storybook upside down, with 3 children on your lap, who are all wriggling and constantly interrupting you
infectious positivity that rubs off on those around you
able to cope with, talk about in public, and calmly resolve any situation involving bodily functions!
On a serious note, it is essential that you are willing to follow instructions and comply with pre-school policies. All offers of employment are subject to a trial session, a suitable reference and an Enhanced DBS check.
Bank Staff
We are a team at full capacity and are proud to not currently be using bank staff. This also means we have capacity to take on more children, please get in touch if you would like to look around our setting.

Sherington Pre-School was established over 50 years ago and is a traditional, family focused pre-school in a village location. We are proud to be a community-based organisation.
